My journey into photography is deeply rooted in my love for animals and the stories they tell without words. Growing up in Cape Town, I was surrounded by stunning landscapes and the quiet wisdom of animals. These experiences shaped my passion for capturing their beauty and spirit. While Cape Town holds my earliest memories, Pretoria has always tugged at my heartstrings, offering inspiration and a sense of belonging that fuels my work.

I’ve been lucky to share my life with some incredible animals. One of them was Catalectric, my off-the-track Thoroughbred. He taught me about grace, resilience, and the unspoken bond between humans and horses. Losing him in 2018 was a heartbreak that forever changed me. But it also opened my heart to new beginnings. Not long after, I drove across Johannesburg to adopt my first bull terrier rescue. That decision—made on a whim—brought so much love and laughter into my life.

And then there’s my cockatiel, the quirky little feathered tyrant who insists on being part of everything I do. Whether perched on my shoulder or sneaking bites of my meals, he’s a constant reminder of the joy and chaos animals bring to our lives.
